
Pretty much a love letter to the classic Road Runner shorts, with many of the original gags recycled for this game, sometimes with new twists. The player, in control of the Road Runner, is out to complete the race and not become dinner. naturally cannot resist the urge to finally catch the Road Runner and turn him into dinner. While theoretically simply a race, Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, with the player controlling the latter. Coyote offers a varied gameplay experience with humorous animations. GamePro called the game "a lightweight frolic", commenting that playing as the Road Runner is one-dimensional and overly easy, but playing as Wile E. Playing as the Road Runner focuses on gaining speed with springs, speed wheels, and looping tracks. Coyote by using his "meep meep" catchphrase or running him over, which gives the player items. Coyote and complete the level by getting to the other end.

Road Runner - Players must try to escape from Wile E. Coyote puts a heavier emphasis on platforming and avoiding traps. Catching up to the Road Runner earns the player various benefits though this is not required to complete the level. By jumping into an ACME box players can fly in his green flyer suit, skate, get springs on his feet to jump and so on.


Coyote - Players get to use his tricks which he uses in the Looney Tunes cartoons. Players get a choice between playing as either: Each level is split up into two parts, plus a bonus level if the player finishes with at least 125 stamps.
